Canyoning Empress Falls Canyon Introductory - Blue Mountains

The first part of the day is designed to teach the necessary abseiling skills to those who have never scaled down rock walls before. Under the instruction of professional guides your confidence will grow on the smaller drops leaving you eager for the upcoming challenges. If you have previously abseiled this session will serve as a great re-run on equipment calls and body position. We perch on one of the spectacular Blue Mountains lookouts and devour a superb lunch. Bodies brimming with confidence and bellies bulging with hearty goodness we wander half an hour along the Valley of Waters Creek to the start of Empress Falls canyon. Here we put on wetsuits and are briefed on canyon techniques. Leaping off rocky outcrops into stunning jade pools and floating freely down the creek you will laugh with delight! Then trek on through the open air playground that is Empress Falls swimming climbing and scampering as you marvel at the surrounding beauty. The final 30 metre abseil landing in a refreshing green water pool is sure to get the Adrenalin pumping! Keep that flow and momentum to power uphill and return you to the car where your stash of warm clothes awaits. Overall this is a fun scenic Canyon that offers you the chance to appreciate the wonderful scenery of the Blue Mountains and is the perfect introduction to Canyoning.
