Minjin Jungle Swing - Cairns

From the inventors of Bungy.... comes MINJIN - the jungle swing! Like no other of its kind the Minjin offers an experience that will leave you wanting more. The Minjin will find you hanging high amongst the rainforest nestled in the trees ready to soar at speeds of up to 100kms! This is definitely for all the family and a great way to share some adventure on your trip to Cairns and a the beautiful World Heritage Rainforest. Legend has it that the Minjin used to roam these hill-slopes in the lean body of a mountain devil a vicious cat-like creature.... Today it roars in the shape of the Jungle Swing at speeds of up to 100 kph. Stainless steel cables have taken the place of animal cunning the spotted hide has made way for hang-gliding harnesses and the evil eyes are now brightly coloured lights... gravity provides the charge which is wild and very real! Once you get your harness on (similar to a hang-gliding harness) the Swing Operator hooks you to the rack (either by yourself or with 1 or 2 friends). You are then winched to 40m above the rainforest canopy. The Swing Operator will signal when it is time to pull the release cable. Gravity then takes over and the fun begins. One two or three people at a time can face the challenge of the Minjin - and legend further has it ... that anyone who enjoys the experience of the Minjin will live a charmed life. The evil karma of the Minjin has gone forever but the good fortune of it's symbol will remain.
