‘Thunderbolt 1’ is the all new speed fun and excitement machine. This outer edge reef experience is more than a reef trip it's an adventure experience where getting there is half the fun the reef is a bonus and seasickness will be a thing of the past!!! With access to 3 different reef sites (Moore Reef Flynn Reef and Thetford Reef) located on the outer edge of the Great Barrier Reef. This one of a kind boat travels at 80 kilometres an hour taking just 22 minutes to reach the snorkelling sites. During this adventure you will have 2 hours of snorkelling visiting 2 different reef sites. The ferry from Cairns is included and takes approximately 45 mins. ‘Thunderbolt 1’ is the first of a new generation of high speed reef boats which combines the speed of smaller light-weight run abouts operated by the Navy and Army assault units with the sea going safety of an offshore patrol vessel. The massive 600hp engines provide strength and reliability whilst the Seafury surface propulsion system generates maximum speed with minimal resistance. Thunderbolt 1 turns sharply on command providing you with a safe comfortable ride with the added advantage of extreme manoeuvrability – hold on tight!
