Formula Ford Introductory Drive Day - Adelaide

Formula Fords have an excellent power to weight ratio and fly from 0-100kph in just over 4 seconds. Until you have experienced the precision of an open wheeler you haven't driven. During this Intro course you will learn to refine your driving skills in either a Van Dieman Swift or Reynard. High performance driving attitudes hi-speed car handling techniques such as braking and gear change points cornering lines efficient cockpit work throttle control and safety are all addressed in a session of high speed thrills. Your instructors will ensure that even complete novices master the techniques of single seater driving. On the day a team of 5-6 drivers are allocated per car. Together your team works to keep the cars running and assist each driver in and out of the car. Each driver has two 5 lap driving sessions followed by individual debriefs with one of the instructors. This feedback gives you great insight to improve your skills speed and confidence for your next drive. Your first race track sessions are paced and conducted in single file to show you the best race lines. Up to five race car enthusiasts will zoom behind. Session time: 2 hours
