NASCAR Drive & Ride - Melbourne Calder Park Thunderdome

The NASCAR Drive & Ride is an experience high on the intensity scale. Prior to strapping into the driver's seat of the NASCAR you will receive theory and expert instruction from Australian champion Marshall J. Brewer and his professional team of race drivers. The briefing begins with instruction on safety and driving theory such as racing lines entry and exits from turns dynamics of a racecar and high speed vehicle control. The learning continues as one of the instructors takes you on observation laps giving you the opportunity to become more familiar with the track before you climb in as the driver. It is then time to take the wheel of the NASCAR for approximately 15 minutes around the only Superspeedway race track in the southern hemisphere. Your instructor will be seated beside you and will guide you through the experience with constant encouragement and advice. This will ensure that you get the most out of your drive experience. It is a very intense and exciting session of which you are in full control. To complete your ultimate experience you will swap seats with your instructor. From the passenger seat you will be amazed at the speed and skills of your instructor as they take you on the 'Ride of a Lifetime' with four high speed laps. The G forces speed sensation and noise are incredible; a perspective you can never appreciate from the stands or television.
