Skydiving Weekday, Yarra Valley - VIC

If you've ever wanted to feel the rush of jumping out of a plane and reaching speeds of up to 220km/h, then tandem sky diving over the Yarra Valley could be the answer! Feel the wind rush through the plane as you prepare to sky dive and feel the adrenalin flow through your veins! We begin the day with a briefing with your tandem sky diving instructor. This includes what to expect and what you will see on the plane flight to height, in freefall, under canopy and upon landing. The briefing takes approximately 15 minutes. Once the briefing is over, it will be time to gear up in preparation for your sky diving experience. You will be given a jumpsuit and your instructor will fit you into a harness. You will walk out to the plane and there you will conduct your practice exits. Once all the ground preparation has been completed, it is time to get in the plane and get ready for take-off! As we leave the airfield, you will be treated to a scenic tour of the Yarra Valley and the Dandenong ranges as well as the city of Melbourne and Port Phillip Bay. You can expect to jump from a height of 6,000ft Once we reach height, it will be time to prepare yourself for the jump. The door opens and as you leave the plane, you and your tandem master will accelerate through the air reaching terminal velocity - 220km/h. Freefall feels like riding a cushion of air, it is the closest possible feeling to flying-there is nothing on earth like it! In freefall, your will be able to take in stunning views as far as the eye can see. After about 8-10 seconds of freefall your instructor will deploy the parachute. Our tandem jump masters have completed several thousand jumps and are members of the Australian Parachute Federation. We use the latest and most superior quality in parachuting equipment and maintain a 100% safety record over 12 years. The parachute ride is very different to your freefall, extremely peaceful as you sail around the sky, gliding. The landing is easy, just lift your legs. The parachute will glide and you will eventually put your feet down to land.Afterwards, you will be treated to a wine tasting experience in a Yarra Valley Winery.
